After a lot of expectation, dedication and preparation to make sure that everything happened the best way to Twig Talk, our annual conference, we are proud to say the 2017 edition was a total success! The event happened from March 29^th to April 1^st, in Paradisus Palma Real, a resort located in one of the most beautiful beaches in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Twig Tour

Twig Talk 2017 welcomed the freight forwarders on the 29^th, with an exclusive shuttle from the airport in Punta Cana, to the resort where the conference took place. After everyone got settled into their rooms, we went for an amazing boat tour, where we could see some of the most beautiful landscapes on the Caribbean coast!

Welcome Cocktail – Fiesta Caribeña

In the evening, it was time for Twig Talk’s welcome cocktail, a Caribean party which happened by the beach! It was an amazing energy, attendees got to meet each other, socialize, dance to a local band and enjoy delicious drinks! Oh, and each member also received an exclusive welcome kit from Twig Team! The kit included a beach bag, a hat, flip-flops and an exclusive notebook, all of them specially designed with Twig Talk’s theme.

Workshop

On the next day, during the morning, the event was officially open with a workshop from Twig’s managing director, Guilherme Luz. He gave an overview of the last year of Twig Logistics Network and talked about the improvements planned for the next months. Attendees also enjoyed workshops with some of Twig’s partners – Thais Faria, from LoGo – Logistics Marketing and Tim Josupait, from WiseTech Global.

1-on-1 meetings

In the afternoon, the 1on1 meetings started. The exclusive notebooks given to Twig members helped them organize themselves and write down their perceptions after every meeting they had. The notebook had a space reserved for each company, as well as some of its most important information. By the end of the event, attendees could meet face to face with up to 40 independent freight forwarders, introducing their company and making some business connections.

Closing Party – Twig Fiesta

The outcome was incredible! Attendees were extremely satisfied with the organization of the event and with how close Twig’s staff was with them throughout the whole conference, concentrating all their efforts on providing members with the most amazing experience. In order to end Twig Talk in the best way, attendees and Twig staff had a wonderful time together at an open sky party, the Twig Fiesta.
