On this post, we will talk about the biggest product launched by our group this year: the Twig app! This product was created with the intent of making communication between our members more dynamic, allowing you to easily access some of our tools and be able to search and contact freight forwarding companies in a specific location with more agility – through your mobile device.

The Twig app is free for Twig members and available for use on both Android and Apple smartphones. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, all you need to do is look for it on your phone’s App Store or Google Play. After downloading it, you can log in with the same details you use to access your Twig internal area.  Then, you will be all set to start enjoying several features. See some of them below!

Twig app: main features 

• Instant Chat to interact with other members

Currently, the communication between Twig members is mostly done through e-mail and Whatsapp. However, with time we realized these were not the agilest or most professional ways for our agents to get in touch with each other. E-mails, for example, are not the fastest way to get ahold of someone – especially when the time is short and the forwarder is in need of a quotation right away.

For this reason, our members often use Whatsapp when in need of finding a partner. However, for being an app that people also use for personal matters, Whatsapp might not be the most professional way of closing a work deal. In order to solve this issue, the Twig App offers an instant chat as one of its tools, where members can interact with each other in a more professional and dynamic way!

• Search tab to find agents anywhere you need

With the Twig App, you won’t need to be at the office or use a desktop to access Twig’s internal area. In other words, regardless of where you are, you can access the app and search for members in any country you wish. All you need is your phone and an internet connection.

We made this possible by integrating our internal area’s system with the Twig App, so all the information is available on both platforms. So, when in need of finding a partner from a specific location, just access the Twig app and use its search tab to make your search – all the results of companies available will appear for you on your phone, and you can get in touch with them right away!

• Browse on your News Feed & Members’ profiles

By using the Twig App, you will also have access to the same news feed as you already have in the internal area. This means that you can constantly update yourself on what other members have been posting and vice versa – without the need of logging in to your computer. Besides, you are also able to access every members’ profile from your device, where you can read the main information about the company, branch offices, services, and key contacts.

Twig App version 1.2: Find out what’s new! 

In order to improve user experience and provide you with more tools, we have recently launched an updated version of the Twig App, with several new features. So, if you have downloaded the App a while ago, don’t forget to update it to enjoy everything that its new version has to offer. Check out some of these features below!

• You can now publish a post directly from the App;
• You can now like other members’ posts directly from the App;
• You can now see a member’s branch offices on their Twig App profile;
• On the chat, you can now create groups and invite different members to join;
• When a member uses the chat to send you a link, you can click and access it directly from there;
• The profile photo of the members you talk with on the chat will appear at the top of the screen and you can access their profile by clicking on the name of the company;
• In case a member doesn’t have their phone alerts activated for Twig App, they will now be notified by e-mail every time they get a new message on the chat.
